WHITE CARD

CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry General Construction Induction Card (White Card)

This unit of competency specifies the mandatory work health and safety training required prior to undertaking construction work. The unit requires the person to demonstrate personal awareness and knowledge of health and safety legislative requirements in order to work safely and prevent injury or harm to self and others. It covers identifying and orally reporting common construction hazards, understanding basic risk control measures, and identifying procedures for responding to potential incidents and emergencies. It also covers correctly selecting and fitting common personal protective equipment (PPE) used for construction work.

Academique’s General Construction Induction Card has been designed for international students whose first language is not English but have achieved strong intermediate (or higher) language skills. If you don’t understand any word, ask your teacher or supervisor. There are no mathematical tasks in the unit. If you have any support requirements, please let us know before you enrol. You can prepare for the unit by accessing internet resources on ‘construction industry safety’, but all aspects of the program are covered in the training.

Course delivery only available ‘face-to-face’.
