Course Overview:

The Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management reflects the role of individuals who are engaged to manage the work of others or to add value to or review management practices. Knowledge and skills in a range of business contexts will be taught throughout the course so that students
can lead, inspire and succeed as a leader/manager.

Students study in BUSINESS CLASS at no extra expense: comfortable chairs, boardroom and free WiFi. Our business course is unique: it is taught by active business owners who support each individual student to create the specific, detailed strategies they need to be successful in their business activities.

Course Description:

The course is delivered over 40 study weeks

We offer intakes every week except holiday and Research Break weeks.
Students study 2 units across an eight week term then have a 2 week “Research Break”

The Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management course is assessed through written & oral assessments, case studies, presentations and assignments.

International student entry requirements for this course:

It’s a requirement for enrolment and for the grant of a student visa that students establish their English language proficiency. How you can do this depends on your passport and Education Sector, which determine your Assessment Level.

Some levels can use the ACADEMIQUE test (80% or above, only available at ACADEMIQUE) to establish their competence Other levels need IELTS 5.5 or equal (or higher) or certified proof of successful Foundation, Certificate IV or higher studies. For details, please contact the college or see:

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to sustain and develop an environment in which continuous improvement, innovation and learning are promoted and rewarded.

BSBHRM614 Contribute to strategic workforce planning
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to contribute to development, implementation and maintenance of a strategic approach to workforce planning in an organisation ensuring that there is the structure and staff in place to meet current and foreseeable organisational objectives.

BSBHRM611 Contribute to organisational performance development
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to contribute to organisational performance development, through contribution to planning, development and coordination of performance development programs.

BSBOPS601 Develop and implement business plans
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to lead a business operation that covers the steps required to develop and implement business plans.

BSBLDR602 Provide leadership across the organisation
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to demonstrate senior leadership behaviour and personal and professional competence. Business ethics are also addressed in this unit.

BSBFIN601 Manage organisational finances
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to undertake budgeting, financial forecasting and reporting. This unit also describes the skills and knowledge required to allocate and manage resources to achieve the required outputs for the business unit.

BSBTEC601 Review organisational digital strategy
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to review an organisation’s digital strategy and assess whether it is fulfilling its objectives according to relevant performance indicators.

BSBLDR601 Lead and manage organisational change
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to lead and manage organisational change.

BSBSUS601 Lead corporate social responsibility
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to consult with stakeholders to develop, implement and evaluate corporate social responsibility policy in an organisation.

BSBCRT611 Apply critical thinking for complex problem solving
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to apply critical thinking in order to develop solutions to complex issues arising in the workplace.
